We will learn how to achieve a rustic finish for a small house , using simple construction techniques. We will be inspired by the design proposal of the Edition Offie studio that uses clay brick, wood, concrete and steel details. Lets see:

The exterior walls show the finished clay fired brick with a smooth fading of the plaster , this gives it a rustic texture that is also widely used in modern structures. Complementing the design is a hipped roof that has a layer of corrugated galvanized steel. Lets see more details in the following image:
Small house built on square ground
According to the plan of the house, the social area made up of the living room (1), the dining room (2) and the kitchen (4) has only one room. In such a way, that the living room looks spacious and naturally well lit with the design of three windows (see facade photo).
At the back are the two bedrooms (5), the main room has a bathroom included (6) and a walking closet (8). It is important to mention that the second bathroom located to the right of the plane (6), has access through the passage (3), in such a way that the bathroom can also be used by visitors to the house.
Interiors harmonize concrete, brick and wood
The natural tone wood stands out in the design of the kitchen furniture, which allows to identify the food preparation area. The harmony of the interior complex is complemented by floors or floors that are made of polished concrete.
Continuing with the style, now lets take a look at the bathroom:
The bathroom has a veneer with matte ceramic tiles, these resemble the color and pattern of concrete. This allows for continuity of style throughout the home. Therefore, using these materials and textures is a great idea to implement it in rustic houses with a touch of modernity.
One detail to take into account is to orient the living room and dining room towards the best visuals. That is why we have to have the windows of the living room as well as the dining room with views towards the gardens of the house (or towards interior patios-garden). Lets see:

Next we are going to see the detail of the walls with the fading of the plaster, in this case it is sand with cement on the acilla bricks.
